BT is a brown aluminum oxide obtained from a reduction fusion of high quality bauxites in electric arc furnaces. Due to its high toughness, BT is recommended for blasting, grinding wheels, and coated abrasives
White
AL is a white aluminum oxide obtained from the fusion of calcined alumina in electric arc furnaces. The high capability of edge reposition in AL makes it an ideal abrasive for cold abrasive operations. AL is also recommended for refractory and ceramic applications due ot its high melting point, hardness, and chemical stability.
